We will visit Arlington National Cemetery, as well as the home of George Washington, Mount Vernon, which overlooks the Potomac River. We will also take in the sights and sounds of Colonial Williamsburg with a stroll down Duke of Gloucester Street…FDR called it “most historic avenue in all America.” In Gettysburg, we will visit the nearby farm of President Dwight D. Eisenhower which served as a weekend retreat and a meeting place for world leaders. We will visit the Gettysburg National Military Park; the site of three days of fighting that was a very important turning point in the Civil War and forever changed the course of American history. We will visit the place where Abraham Lincoln gave his famous Gettysburg Address which helped mend our nation. Then off to the newly built and awe-inspiring $135-million Museum and Visitor Centre. In Philadelphia, we will visit the award-winning National Constitution Centre, the first ever museum dedicated to the US Constitution.
