Join us as we jet off to spectacular Thailand. This tropical paradise is one of the world’s most beautiful countries; the people and scenery in Thailand are truly something special, a trip you will never forget. In Bangkok, we will be staying at the beautiful Ramada Inn located directly on the river with a gorgeous outdoor swimming pool. We will visit the Grand Palace, which served as the official residence of the Kings of Thailand from the 18th to the mid 20th century. The most famous building on the palace grounds is Wat Phra Kaew…Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which is regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand. We will also visit Wat Pho, Bangkok’s oldest temple, which features the largest reclining Buddha covered in gold leaf and was considered the first public university in Thailand. It is now more well-known as a centre for traditional massage and medicine. After our walk around the temples there will be nothing quite like a relaxing massage. Next on our journey, we head to northern Thailand to the city of Chiang Mai to visit a handicraft village; famous for its production of high-quality handicrafts…wood carvings. We will visit the temple, Wat Doi Suthep, which is located near the top of Doi Suthep (Mt. Suthep) and was built as a Buddhist monastery in 1383. Incredible food, white sand beaches, and ancient temples, are all part of what makes Thailand so intriguing.
