We are off to the beautiful Adirondacks Region in New York.  To experience the majesty of Lake George, we will enjoy an authentic steamship, the Minne Ha-Ha.  History comes alive at Fort William Henry! Join us to experience the history, and the sights and sounds of the Fort during the French and Indian War.  We will head up north to Lake Placid to visit the 1980 Olympic Village and the arena where the USA Hockey team won the GOLD Medal in the “Miracle on Ice”.  All aboard the Adirondack Scenic Rail Road for an awesome 20-mile excursion through the beautiful Adirondack Lake Region. Of course, swimming, shopping, and so much more!

During our week in Maine, we will enjoy great shopping in picturesque Perkins Cove before we board a Lobster Boat, where you will get an up-close look at traps being hauled in & lobsters being caught.  In Freeport, we will enjoy shopping at the famous LL Bean and other great souvenir shops.  Of course, you can’t come to Maine without stopping to see the life-size chocolate moose, Lenny & some great candy treats.  We will take a ride on a heritage railroad in a vintage trolley from the early 1900s and enjoy the exhibits at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, which was founded in 1939 & has become the First & Largest Electric Railway Museum in the world.  This year, we will catch a Portland Sea Dogs Baseball Game…the Boston Red Sox Double A-Affiliates

We will enjoy ALL that Mystic and Coastal, CT has to offer…many shops, restaurants, historic ships, Olde Mistick Village, and so much more.  The Mystic Seaport Museum is renowned as the United States’ largest maritime museum.  Climbing aboard the Charles W. Morgan, the world’s last surviving wooden whaleship.  Not only can you stand on deck, but you can go below and see the crew’s quarters and the blubber room.  We will walk over the Bascule Bridge and hopefully get a chance to see it raise to let taller boats through….it is quite a sight!  Take a step back in time & experience “A Touch of Yesteryear” when we visit Franklin’s General Store.  At Mystic Aquarium, we will journey into the aquatic world where every underwater creature is more amazing than the last.  Exhibits put you in close proximity to Beluga whales, Penguins, Sea Lions, Sting Rays, Exotic Fish from Around the World and so much more.  We are off to climb aboard the Essex Steam Train to enjoy the nostalgic clickety-clack across the tracks as you enjoy the beautiful Connecticut River Valley through vistas and small towns.  Then we board the delightful riverboat cruise across the beautiful Connecticut River Valley.  This is a trip you won’t want to miss!

In Lake Winnipesauke, we will enjoy a majestic, narrated scenic cruise of Lake Winnipesaukee.  Then we are off to play Skee Ball and some of your favorite arcade games at Funspot.  We will enjoy Make-Your-Own-Sundaes at the famous Kellerhaus.  Of course, in North Conway a visit to Zeb’s General Store is a MUST!  We will enjoy the nostalgia of a general store of yesteryear.  And don’t forget a day at Clark’s Trading Post, enjoying the Bear Show, a train ride aboard the White Mountain Central Railroad being amused by the rabble-rousin’ Wolfman and his antics and of course time in the gift shop.

We are off to Pennsylvania to enjoy beautiful Amish Country in the Fall and Hershey, “the sweetest place on earth.”  Discover the countryside the way the Amish do, with a ride on an authentic Amish horse-pulled buggy.  We will enjoy the unique shopping experience, homemade jams, salsas, and relishes and much more at Kettle Kitchen.  You can’t come to Amish Country without touring an original pretzel bakery, getting a hands-on lesson in pretzel twisting and watching the bakers twisting old-fashion soft pretzels by hand.  At the Turkey Hill Experience, we will enjoy the gift shop and all the great interactive exhibits such as learning about the ice cream making process, tasting ice-cream and so much more!  All aboard the Historic Strasburg Railroad, the larger-than-life coal-burning steam train, which dates back to 1834.  At Hershey’s Chocolate World, we will have the opportunity to experience a real Chocolate Making Tour Ride with a tasty sample at the end.  We will journey through America’s sweetest town aboard an old-fashioned trolley car and will learn the inspiring story of Milton Hershey and seeing all the historical sites of Hershey.  Don’t miss out on this sweet and tasty Fall Vacation taking a step back in time.
